Book Blogger Spotlight: Behind A Million And One Pages

Hi! I'm Gina from Behind A Million and One Pages. I am an Aussie book blogger from Sydney, Australia.  I have been in the blogging world about a year and a bit now and I absolutely LOVE it!  I make my own bookmarks, and if you want to get them for yourself, you can go onto my blog and download your own :D

When and why did you become a book blogger?

Everywhere on Goodreads I saw that everyone had a blog, so I looked into it and found a few that I liked.  Then I saw that my Goodreads friends had blogs and I asked them about it so I decided to join the book blogging world!

How did you come up with the name of your blog?

It might sound strange a bit, but it kinda just came to me...  All of the unique titles came to me, I sat there making the blog and all of the names just came to me.  I wrote down in a notebook how I was going to do everything and it all came together.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Meeting all the amazing authors that I feature on the blog, as well as all the other bloggers I meet as well.

What do you find the hardest about blogging?

Deadlines, especially now because I just started a new job so I'm trying to get used to the time that I need to allocate myself for blogging, and then my personal life as well.

Does your blog participate in any weekly features and if so which is your favorite?

I do two weekly features, my own that I made called Coverday Friday, and a meme called Party Tuesday hosted by Living in a Bookworld.

What has been your favorite moment since you became a book blogger? Which review, interview or giveaway have you been most proud of?

Hmmmm, I've got a whole lot coming up on the blog that I am looking forward to. Just for you though think Julie Kagawa, Karen Healey, Tahereh Mafi, Marianne Curley and Bernadette Azizi (all on the blog). I've got so many other proud moments in my blog, but mainly it is every single moment and author that had been featured was special to me and I am proud of every moment.

What kind of genres do you enjoy reading and reviewing the most?

I love all kinds of YA novels. My favourite sub-genre within YA is Dystopian.  What can I say?  I love the way that it captures what could happen in the very near future.

What is your favorite individual book or series? What makes you love it so much?

Hmmmmm, I love the Sevenwaters Series by Juliet Marillier.  It is the one series that I have read that is flawless every single book.  It's got all the right amount of romance and fantasy.

Who is your favorite fictional male character, why and from what book or series are they from?

Juliet Mariller is my top favourite and all the other authors just fall underneath, including Tahereh Mafi, Veronica Roth, Julie Kagawa etc..

What books are you most looking forward to in 2013?

Untitled (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth
Requiem (Delirium #3) by Lauren Oliver
Elegy (Hereafter #3) by Tara Hudson
The Uprising (The Forsaken #2) by Lisa M. Stasse
Fractured Soul (Fractured Light #2) by Rachel McClellan
and sooo many more!

Paper books or ebooks?

Paperback books all they way! but it's handy to have eBooks as well.

Where is your favorite place to read?

Hmmm, that's a toughie. Well the main place that I read is at one of my cafe's, it's a chocolate bar so the combination of chocolate, coffee, dessert and a great book to read :)

Milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate?

DARK CHOCOLATE! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!

Coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate?

Can I choose two?? Coffee (Vanilla Latte) and Tea with honey (favourite is Daintree Tea with honey or Turkish Apple is a really nice sweet tea)
